Stephanie Aikens serves as the CEO and President of Aikens Powerful & Elite Solutions, LLC. She has vast familiarity in government contracting and understands the needs of the customers based upon her experience.
Ms. Aikens has persevered throughout her career, beginning with her studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Within 3 short years, in 2006, she successfully completed an accelerated path to her Bachelor of Business Administration with a major in Finance. The youngest person of her graduating class, Ms. Aikens received her Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, TX in 2009. During her law school career, she completed a semester of legal studies in New York City at New York Law School. Wanting to continue her passion of understanding the business world, Ms. Aikens received her Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Columbia Southern University. Ms. Aikens is a licensed attorney with the New York State Bar, the Texas Bar, and the Connecticut Bar. She has also achieved her Level 3-Contracting, Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification.
Ms. Aikens began her legal career working for a small 8(a) company negotiating, drafting, and executing their government and private contracts. Her natural abilities, educated experience, and efforts allowed her to support the growth of the small 8(a) company. Supplementing her legal and business career, Ms. Aikens furthered her business understanding by opening and subsequently successfully selling her own business venture in the service industry.
Ms. Aikens went on to work in the Army Contracting Command with a private government contractor in Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland as an Attorney Advisor/Contract Specialist. This work complemented her legal and contract knowledge experience from the Department of Defense point of view. Later, in the same office Ms. Aikens became a Department of Defense employee in August of 2011 as a GS-1102. In both roles, she was involved with contract pre-award, award, administration, and close-out phases of contracting.
Ms. Aikens then moved back to San Antonio, TX in which she worked as a Contracts Attorney for both Army South and Installation Management Command on Ft. Sam Houston, TX. In these roles she aided the customers in drafting requirements packages (PWS, QASP, J&A, etc.) in accordance with the FAR, DFAR, and local guidance.
Seeing the need for reliable and honest contractors to fulfill government requirements, Ms. Aikens created APE Solutions, LLC in 2016. She has a passion to understand and help the government meet its mission, and has used this passion to successfully accomplish these goals.
